{"id":182236,"date":"2026-02-27T02:01:16","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T02:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/182236\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T02:01:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T02:01:16","slug":"arlingtons-six-flags-over-texas-opens-its-2026-season-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/182236\/","title":{"rendered":"Arlington\u2019s Six Flags Over Texas opens its 2026 season soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img class=\"responsive-image\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\"  alt=\"Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor Arlington are hiring for the 2026 season.\" title=\"Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor Arlington are hiring for the 2026 season.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>        Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor Arlington are hiring for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>                Hand-out<\/p>\n<p>            Six Flags Over Texas<\/p>\n<p>    Fort Worth<\/p>\n<p>For families looking to get out and about this spring, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sixflags.com\/overtexas\">Six Flags Over Texas<\/a> has a wealth of fun activities.<\/p>\n<p>The Arlington theme park is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year with a yearlong celebration, including new entertainment, park-wide enhancements and a world-recording breaking coaster.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we celebrate 65 years of thrilling fun at Six Flags Over Texas, we are honored to share a season that reflects both our history and our future,\u201d said Mark Boyer, park manager for Six Flags Over Texas, in a news release. \u201cThis year represents a major investment in the guest experience, with improvements and entertainment that will showcase the park in new ways for our neighbors and guests from around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what to know about going to Six Flags Over Texas this spring.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd25 In case you missed it&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>        What\u2019s new at Six Flags Over Texas this spring?<\/p>\n<p>Several classic attractions have received new enhancements, including:<\/p>\n<p>Mr. FreezeBatmanEl AserraderoRunaway Mine TrainSilver Star CarouselLa Fiesta de las TazasSix Flags and Texas Railroad<\/p>\n<p>The largest enhancement that Six Flags has completed this year is of the Southern Palace Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>A premier indoor performance venue now stands in the park with new seating, upgraded audio and lighting, improved guest flow and increased capacity for higher caliber entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of entertainment, Six Flags will host new shows and one returning fan-favorite this season:<\/p>\n<p>March 14-22: Gazillion Bubbles Show at Southern Palace TheatreApril 3-May 3, weekends: The Perondi\u2019s Stunt Dog Experience at Southern Palace TheatreSummer, select days: Western Daze at Texas ArcadeJune, select days: Celebrate! at Southern Palace TheatreSummer, select days: Miss Cameo Kate\u2019s Western Burle Q Revue at Crazy Horse SaloonSummer, select days: The Swelltones near Johnny RocketsJuly 4-Aug. 9, select days: Brad Ross International Star Illusionist at Southern Palace TheatreSummer, select days: Texas Justice on Texas Street<\/p>\n<p>Families may be looking for some grub after a show, and there are plenty of new additions this year:<\/p>\n<p>Texas Corndogs near Crazy Horse Saloon, offering new hand-dipped corn dogs, spiral french fries and more.Pull-a-part bread with cinnamon sugar at Los Dulces and Etienne\u2019s.Smoked chicken wings at JB\u2019s Smokehouse, seasoned in-house.The new Outlaw Dog with a jalape\u00f1o and cheese sausage.New desserts at Smith Street Ice Cream Parlor such as sundaes, banana splits, handmade waffle cones and extreme milkshakes.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Six Flags Over Texas will launch its \u201cone-of-a-kind thrill ride\u201d Tormenta Rampaging Run later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The more than 300-foot ride will be the tallest, fastest, longest and first-ever \u201cgiga\u201d dive coaster in the world, according to the park. Hand-out                                                                            Six Flags Over Texas                                                                                        Six Flags Over Texas tickets<\/p>\n<p>For a limited time this spring, the park is selling its gold pass (normally $99) for the price of a silver pass at $70.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sixflags.com\/overtexas\/season-passes\">Both passes share some similarities<\/a> like free general parking, bring-a-friend discounted tickets, 10% off food and merchandise and unlimited park visits through the rest of the year. However, the gold pass includes access to the Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park events, along with access to all Six Flags and Schlitterbahn parks in Texas and Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>Daily passes are also available for families looking to attend on specific days.<\/p>\n<p>When is Six Flags Over Texas open?<\/p>\n<p>Six Flags Over Texas opens its 2026 season on Saturday, Feb. 28.<\/p>\n<p>From there, the park will open on weekends (Friday-Sunday) for much of the spring.
