Greg Abbott readies resources ahead of Texas flash flood, severe weather threat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">AUSTIN, Texas \u2013 Texas Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to activate emergency response resources ahead of the threat for severe weather for a large portion of the state, beginning Thursday night and lasting through the weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cTexas stands ready to deploy all emergency resources needed to help local officials respond to potential severe weather across the state,\u201d said Governor Abbott. \u201cState and local emergency response partners are actively monitoring weather conditions and are on standby to provide all necessary resources to protect Texans and our communities.
