The Pentagon confirms a laser anti-drone system was used Thursday to shoot down the platform that was owned by Customs and Border Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>The FAA has closed a portion of airspace around Fort Hancock, which is around 50 miles south of El Paso, but no commercial flights are affected.<\/p>\n<p>The closure is tentatively scheduled to run through June 24.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to 550 KTSA and FM 107.1 for the latest in this developing story.<\/p>\n<p>More about:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Water tower near Fort Hancock, in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States.
