The approval raises the terminal\u2019s total export capacity to 4.45 Bcf\/d, making it the second-largest LNG export facility in the United States. US LNG exports have surged from 0.5 Bcf\/d in 2016 to 15 Bcf\/d in 2025, with volumes projected to exceed 18 Bcf\/d by 2027.
