Box Score<\/a> FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.\u00a0\u2013 UT Arlington earned their first road win Friday afternoon, defeating No. 6 Arkansas, 4\u20133, at Baum-Walker Stadium. The Mavericks built an early lead, received 8.2 dominant innings from Caylon Dygert<\/a>, and withstood a late Razorback rally to secure their second top-10 victory of the season.<\/p>\n UTA struck immediately in the first inning. Preston Knott<\/a> opened the game with a double, Zach Mazoch<\/a> followed with an RBI double down the right-field line, and Xander McAfee<\/a> lifted a sacrifice fly to give the Mavericks a 2\u20130 lead.<\/p>\n The Mavericks added crucial\u00a0insurance in the sixth when Harold Laracuente<\/a> singled and Austin Phillips<\/a> launched a two-run home run to left \u2014 his second of the season \u2014 extending the lead to 4\u20130.<\/p>\n UTA finished with nine hits and went 2-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Phillips paced the lineup with a 2-for-3 day and two RBIs, while Mazoch added two hits and an RBI. Knott and Melendez each scored once at the top of the order.<\/p>\n Arkansas mounted its only push in the ninth.
