From the act of pure formation flying to the raw adrenaline of never exactly knowing what shot is going to be the \u201cmoney shot,\u201d there\u2019s a rush and thrill that\u2019s hard to describe.<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of the photo shoot, of course, are the airplanes. In this case, it\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/planeandpilotmag.com\/flying-this-plane-is-cirrus-ly-fun\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cirrus SR20<\/a> flying off a straight-tail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flyingmag.com\/raffle-underway-for-refurbished-cessna-182\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">C182<\/a> photo ship over the skies of Austin, Texas. But also at the heart of the shoot is the photographer. This time,\u00a0it\u2019s Jack Fleetwood. I\u2019ve been fortunate to work with first-class general aviation photographers like Fleetwood, and I\u2019m routinely amazed at their ability to put the stress aside to craft the most stunning shots.<\/p>\n<p>By acting as both photographer and director, professionals like Fleetwood serve as a second set of eyes, communicating through brief hand gestures that turn a high-speed formation into a static masterpiece.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fleetwood\u2019s work will be featured in the upcoming March\/April issue of Plane + Pilot, so make sure to keep an eye out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img
