The Georgia senior started the match with a 7-5 loss in the first set, but fought back in the second to force a third set 6-4. Giamichelle ended the match with a shutout 6-0 victory in the third set.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs fell short in doubles to start the road match. Noah Johnston and Derrick Chen finished first and marked a 6-3 win over Lathan Skrobarcek and Pires.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No. 64 Giamichelle and Arda Azkara faced No. 80 Togan Tokac and Theo Papamalamis. The doubles duo forced a tiebreaker, but ultimately allowed the Aggies to clinch their first doubles match 7-6(6). Within seconds of Giamichelle and Azkara\u2019s defeat, Will Jansen and Gabriele Vulpitta lost their match with a chance to clinch the doubles point. Jansen and Vulpitta were also in a tie-breaker battle, but could not mount a comeback. Georgia was down 1-0 after Texas A&amp;M\u2019s No. 61 pairing of Alex Frusina and Kholo Montsi secured the doubles point 7-6(4).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chen was first to finish in singles against Markus Molder. On court four, the Bulldog was defeated in consecutive sets 6-3, 6-3.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No. 30 Jansen put Georgia on the board with a 6-3, 7-5 victory against No. 108 Frusina.\u00a0Skrobarcek furthered Texas A&amp;M\u2019s lead with a three-set win over No. 77 Vulpitta. The Georgia sophomore claimed the first set 6-3, but fell in the second and third sets. The Bulldogs found themselves in a 3-1 deficit after Vulpitta\u2019s loss.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No. 42 Azkara secured Georgia\u2019s second point of the day after a consecutive set win over No. 78 Papamalamis. The first set remained close, but Azkara pulled away to win his first set 7-6(6). His momentum remained strong to clinch his match 6-3.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Johnston tied the score 3-3 after a three-set battle against Tokac. The freshman secured the first set 6-4, but fell short 3-6 in the second set.
