ARLINGTON\u00a0\u2013 No. 23 Texas A&M earned its ninth consecutive win of the season with a 10-0 run-rule victory over Virginia Tech Friday night from Globe Life Field.

\nShane Sdao<\/a> (2-0) earned the win after tossing 6.0 shutout innings. The lefty allowed four hits and tallied five strikeouts to compliment his second consecutive quality start. Cole Hubert<\/a> worked around a leadoff single in the seventh inning to preserve the shutout and secure the run-rule victory.

\nOffensively, The Aggies used an explosive sixth inning to blow past the Hokies (7-2). In the frame, the Maroon & White plated eight runs on five hits, two walks and had two batters hit by a pitch. Four of the five hits in the inning were doubles, including three consecutively by Caden Sorrell<\/a>, Blake Binderup<\/a> and Jake Duer<\/a> to combine for five RBI.
\n\u00a0
\nChris Hacopian<\/a> got the scoring party started in the bottom of the first with a solo shot to left-center field, and Terrence Kiel II<\/a> drove in a run in the fourth inning with a single through the right side.

\nB6 | Binderup entered the game as a pinch-hitter and drew a walk. Duer doubled to left-center to move Binderup to third and Partida followed with a four-pitch walk. Kiel brought home a run on a sacrifice fly, advancing Duer to third who scored on a wild pitch. Boston Kellner<\/a> reached on an infield single that moved Partida to third. Travis Chestnut<\/a> loaded the bases on a hit by pitch after the Hokies opted for a new pitcher. After Bear Harrison<\/a> flew out, Gavin Grahovac<\/a> plated a run on a bases-loaded hit by pitch. Sorrell smashed a ground-rule double into the visitor’s bullpen in left-center field to score two more runs. Binderup followed suit with a double of his own to plate Grahovac and Sorrell. The Aggies went up by double digits on Duer’s second double of the inning, scoring Binderup. A&M 10, Virginia Tech 0.
