But what is fact and fiction is still being debated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was very unclear in the beginning,\u201d said Bexar County voter Randy Jaso.<\/p>\n<p>Bexar County voter Randy Jaso says despite clashing messages around Propositions A and B for the Spurs arena and rodeo grounds, it\u2019s time for people to decide. \u201cIt&#8217;s a very important vote,\u201d said Jaso.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s why organizations like the Community of Churches for Social Action and even Spurs majority owner Peter Holt have stood up to fight misinformation. \u201cMainly about how it\u2019s gonna be paid for,\u201d said Geoffrey Stirrup, Chairman of the Community of Churches for Social Action.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/early-voting-begins-in-bexar-county-with-major-propositions-on-the-ballot-project-marvel-spurs-arena-downtown\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/news4sanantonio.com\/news\/local\/early-voting-begins-in-bexar-county-with-major-propositions-on-the-ballot-project-marvel-spurs-arena-downtown\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">POLL: With early voting beginning today, do you support Prop A and\/or Prop B?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And on the same day, multiple community groups including COPS\/Metro have also taken a stand, saying this venue tax increase could be used for other things.  Spurs officials disagree. \u201cThis is a tax that\u2019s paid for by visitors,\u201d said Spurs majority owner Peter Holt.<\/p>\n<p>They say it can only be used for tourism-related projects. Even if it\u2019s related to infrastructure, it can only be used to put \u201cheads in beds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But COPS\/Metro officials also say if the arena is built, there will be domino costs. \u201cTwo hundred million dollars for the infrastructure around the arena and a parking garage, paid for by our property taxes,\u201d said Diane Duesterhoeft, COPS\/Metro leader.<\/p>\n<p>But According to Councilwoman Sukh Kaur, we actually don\u2019t know how much this will cost and this infrastructure will have to be paid for even without the arenas construction. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re still gonna receive that same funding at the same level that we\u2019ve always received in our city,\u201d said Stirrup.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, opponents of Prop A and B have filed an ethics complaint with the San Antonio City Attorney\u2019s Office outlining a concern with what they say is coordinated, one-sided communication between city council members and the Win Together campaign.
