TCU Baseball leads 2-0 in its home series against New Haven with a 12-4 win Saturday at Lupton Stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Horned Frogs scored at least one run in every inning played.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the bottom of the first, TCU took an early lead when center fielder Sawyer Strosnider scored on a sacrifice fly from designated hitter Nolan Traeger.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Frogs extended their advantage in the second inning when second baseman Cole Cramer hit an RBI single that brought Brady Dallimore and Rob Liddington home, making it 3-0.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This marked Cramer\u2019s third RBI in two games, two of which have driven in multiple runs. He also made key defensive plays, including throwing out a New Haven runner at home later in the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When asked how he plans to maintain the team\u2019s momentum, Cramer said, \u201cI think that if we can continue to pass the stick to the next guy, make plays for our pitchers, and keep them filling up the strike zone, we\u2019ll be fine.\u201d He added, \u201cBaseball is not an individual sport, it\u2019s a team game.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

TCU and starting pitcher Lance Davis held New Haven scoreless through three innings, but the Chargers responded with three runs in the top of the fourth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pitcher Nate Stern relieved Davis and reflected on being back at Lupton, saying, \u201cThe constant chatter really helps me get out of my thoughts and allows me to be free.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stern was later relieved in the sixth inning by Walter Quinn.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Freshman\u00a0Lucas Franco continued his hot streak with an RBI\u00a0double\u00a0down the left-field line in the bottom of the sixth, scoring Jack Arthur and Jack Bell.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The offense kept rolling in the seventh, when Arthur drove in Cramer and Strosnider with an RBI of his own, giving TCU a 10-3 lead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

New Haven added one more run in the top of the eighth, but TCU\u2019s pitching remained in control.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fans have yet to see key contributor Tommy LaPour return to the mound after his first start of the season.
