HOUSTON (March 1, 2026) \u2013 Houston Dynamo 2\u00a0opened their 2026\u00a0MLS NEXT Pro\u00a0campaign with a 2-0 victory over Colorado Rapids 2 at\u00a0SaberCats Stadium\u00a0this evening behind Dynamo Academy product\u00a0SamirMohammad\u2019s\u00a0first professional goal and midfielder\u00a0D\u2019Alessandro\u00a0Herrera\u2019s\u00a0first goal of the season.<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s match featured several Dynamo 2 debuts, including forward\u00a0**Austin**\u00a0**Brummett**<\/a>, midfielder\u00a0**GustavoDohmann**<\/a>, midfielder\u00a0**Gilberto**\u00a0**Rivera**<\/a>\u00a0and forward\u00a0**Arthur**\u00a0**Sousa**<\/a>, all of whom were signed this offseason. Additionally, Mohammad made his first professional start in\u00a0the midfield.<\/p>\n Dos took the lead in the 60th\u00a0minute when midfielder\u00a0Noah\u00a0Betancourt\u00a0delivered a low-driven cross from the right side of the box that found Mohammad at the far post for a first-time finish into the bottom right corner.
