Box Score<\/a> SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The UT Arlington softball team picked up an 11-4 win over UTSA on Sunday at Roadrunner Field, using four home runs and a strong relief outing to pull away from the Roadrunners.<\/p>\n The Mavericks came out hot in the top of the first, putting up\u00a0four runs\u00a0to grab early control. UTA kept the pressure on with another\u00a0two-run\u00a0frame in the second to build a 6-2 advantage.<\/p>\n UTSA answered with\u00a0two runs in the bottom of the second\u00a0to cut the deficit to 6-4, but UTA’s pitching settled in and the Mavericks’ bats delivered separation in the middle innings. UTA broke the game open with a\u00a0three-run fourth, then tacked on single runs in the fifth and seventh to finish off the 11-4 decision.<\/p>\n Offensively,\u00a0Mia McNulty<\/a>\u00a0powered the Mavericks with a pair of home runs and\u00a0four RBIs, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored.\u00a0Valeria Feeney<\/a>\u00a0went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and\u00a0two RBIs, while\u00a0Peyton Holland<\/a>\u00a0added a home run and\u00a0three RBIs.\u00a0Kaylee Schweitzer<\/a>\u00a0turned in a 3-for-4 day with an RBI, and\u00a0Taylor Minor<\/a>\u00a0scored twice while going 2-for-4 with a double.<\/p>\n
