{"id":186687,"date":"2026-03-02T12:38:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T12:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/186687\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T12:38:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T12:38:12","slug":"event-guide-all-you-need-to-know-about-fiesta-in-san-antonio-april-16-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/186687\/","title":{"rendered":"Event guide: All you need to know about Fiesta in San Antonio, April 16-26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFiesta is one of San Antonio\u2019s biggest festivals throughout the year, drawing in over 2.5 million visitors over the 10-day celebration, according to the nonprofit organization\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n<p>The yearly <a href=\"https:\/\/fiestasanantonio.org\/2026\/02\/10\/the-fiesta-san-antonio-commission-crowns-2026-miss-fiesta-and-unveils-2026-poster\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miss Fiesta<\/a> award and 2026 Fiesta poster were revealed Feb. 3.<\/p>\n<p>The event celebrates the cultural and historical heritage of San Antonio, with several concerts, parades, festivals and more taking place throughout the holiday.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/fiestasanantonio.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fiesta<\/a> will take place between April 16-26. Some events are free to attend, while others may require preregistration or tickets for entry. To see a full schedule of events and ticket information, check out Fiesta\u2019s official website <a href=\"https:\/\/fiestasanantonio.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This list is not comprehensive, and events are subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>Live music and dance<\/p>\n<p>Chaparral Music &amp; Heritage Festival<\/p>\n<p>This country music festival\u2014hosted by the San Antonio Parks Foundation\u2014helps to raise money for parks and public areas throughout the city.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Square and Round Dance<\/p>\n<p>Participate in themed square and round dancing sessions hosted by the local Alamo Area Square and Round Dance Association.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Jazz Festival<\/p>\n<p>The jazz festival showcases over 500 middle, high school and college jazz performers and aspiring musicians throughout the state of Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Parades and carnivals<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Fiesta<\/p>\n<p>The annual opening ceremony for Fiesta will feature remarks from municipal officials, a parade, live music, food vendors and more.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Carnival<\/p>\n<p>The carnival will feature a variety of traditional fair rides, games, entertainment and food throughout the entire 10-day event.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Cavaliers River Parade<\/p>\n<p>The floating parade will feature stylized boats from several community organizations, groups, schools, cities and more.<\/p>\n<p>135th annual Battle of Flowers Parade<\/p>\n<p>The founding event of Fiesta, the iconic parade, is run entirely by women. It will feature carriages, antique cars, balloons and local band students among 10,000 participants.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Flambeau Parade<\/p>\n<p>This illuminated night parade showcases lighted floats and torches from local organizations throughout downtown.<\/p>\n<p>Special events<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Oyster Bake <\/p>\n<p>The annual festival features carnival rides, seafood, live music, local vendors and more on the historic St. Mary&#8217;s University campus.<\/p>\n<p>April 17-18, times TBA$45 (2-day admission)1 Camino Santa Real, San Antonio<a href=\"https:\/\/oysterbake.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www,oysterbake.com<\/a>Fiesta Castle Hills<\/p>\n<p>The annual parade marches through Castle Hills to recognize key members of the local community. There will be arts and crafts vendors, a petting zoo and more.<\/p>\n<p>105th annual Patriotic and Historical Ball<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the State Association of Texas Pioneers, this historical evening will help support scholarships for Texas history education. There will be an appearance from King Antonio of the Texas Cavaliers River Parade.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta Pooch Parade<\/p>\n<p>Participants will be able to dress up their dogs in costumes, march in a parade and compete for the best look. There will also be food trucks and proceeds will benefit Therapy Animals of San Antonio.<\/p>\n<p>Festival de Animales<\/p>\n<p>The San Antonio Zoo\u2019s official Fiesta event will feature live music, cultural exhibits and more, all highlighting conservation efforts across Latin America.
