BioNTX today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Gina Ford, DPh., MBA, as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n
In this role, Ford will lead BioNTX\u2019s strategic vision and operational priorities, drive disciplined growth, and ensure it delivers meaningful, measurable value to its members. She will focus on strengthening industry alignment, raising the region\u2019s national visibility, and implementing a clear roadmap to accelerate innovation, attract investment and enhance long-term competitiveness in the life sciences sector across North Texas. <\/p>\n

Ford was selected following a comprehensive, six-month review of multiple candidates led by a trusted executive recruiter and a committee of the Board of Directors. <\/p>\n

An accomplished executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors, Ford has guided organizations in corporate strategy, commercialization and globalization planning, and patient advocacy. She joins BioNTX from Women In Bio, Inc. where she served as CEO and led transformative growth in fundraising, engagement across national and local networks, and advanced programs supporting women in life science careers.<\/p>\n
As a Doctor of Pharmacy with an MBA, Ford offers deep expertise across the bioscience life cycle, from startup and capital formation through commercialization and scale. Her long-standing commitment to improving patient outcomes aligns directly with BioNTX\u2019s mission to advance innovation that improves lives by putting the patient first.<\/p>\n
The appointment follows Otto\u2019s retirement from BioNTX after a fulfilling career, most recently dedicated to advancing innovation and our industry in North Texas. As part of the leadership transition, Otto will stay involved and serve as an advisor to support Ford and BioNTX.<\/p>\n
