{"id":187317,"date":"2026-03-02T21:48:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T21:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/187317\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T21:48:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T21:48:08","slug":"miller-claims-final-lsc-award-of-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/187317\/","title":{"rendered":"Miller Claims Final LSC Award of Season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n                            By: Everett Corder (everett.corder@lcu.edu)&#13;\n                        <\/p>\n<p>                    &#13;<br \/>\n                        Story Links&#13;<br \/>\n                        &#13;<br \/>\n    &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<p>                     RICHARDSON, Texas (March 2, 2026) &#8211; Lubbock Christian University senior forward <a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/amondo-miller-jr-\/4437\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4437\" target=\"_blank\">Amondo Miller Jr.<\/a> was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This marks the third time this season that Miller has won the conference&#8217;s weekly award.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Colorado native averaged 28 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists to lead the No. 9-ranked Chaps to an unbeaten week against Western New Mexico and Sul Ross State. Miller scored a career-high 38 points on 58.3 percent shooting in an 87-83 game with WNMU. His point total is the most by a player in the LSC this season \u2013 topping his 37-point performance in November. He also had three blocks and three steals on the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Miller leads the LSC in scoring this season with an average of 20.9 points per game on 51.1 percent shooting. He is also averaging 8.4 rebounds per game and has a team-leading 42 steals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>LCU finished the regular season with a 26-4 overall record and a 17-3 showing in the league play, finishing tied for second in the LSC standings.
