The final week of the men\u2019s college basketball regular season is here.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech<\/a> strengthened its case for a high seed last week with a win over then-No. 4 Iowa State, beating a potential No. 1 seed without star forward JT Toppin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Several local teams, including Texas<\/a>, Texas A&M<\/a>, SMU<\/a> and TCU<\/a> are on or near the bubble in ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi\u2019s latest projection<\/a>, but to varying degrees of safety. <\/p>\n

The Longhorns, Aggies and Horned Frogs are all on the bubble, with UT and A&M are among the last four byes, while TCU is currently among the last four in and set for a First Four game.<\/p>\n

SMU is just projected just inside the bubble, but has a big game against No. 22 Miami this week at Moody Coliseum<\/a> that could make the difference as they seek their first NCAA Tournament bid since 2017.<\/p>\n
