Taylor Sheridan\u2019s newest series is casting background actors for filming in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Word broke last week that Sheridan\u2019s forthcoming \u201cTulsa King\u201d spinoff \u201cFrisco King\u201d is coming to Cowtown<\/a> in late March. Previously titled \u201cNOLA King,\u201d the Paramount+ series was originally supposed to be set and made in New Orleans bu,t will now be a North Texas production.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrisco King\u201d will star Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman that crossed paths with Sylvester Stallone\u2019s \u201cTulsa King\u201d character Dwight Manfredi. Jackson appeared in the final two episodes of the show\u2019s third season last year.<\/p>\n

Texas-based Legacy Casting<\/a> is beginning to casting extras for the series, which will be in production from late March through late July. In addition to Fort Worth, filming is slated for Plano, Dallas, Frisco, Keller, Denton and Southlake.<\/p>\n

College-age students (ages 18-21, no visible tattoos)<\/p>\n

Cheerleaders (ages 18-21, no visible tattoos, includes swimsuit scenes)<\/p>\n

Real law enforcement men and women<\/p>\n

Experienced baristas and latte artists<\/p>\n

Real court stenographers with professional equipment<\/p>\n

There have not been many plot details released for \u201cFrisco King.\u201d However, the previous synopsis for \u201cNOLA King\u201d may paint a picture of what to expect.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018NOLA King\u2019 follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Jackson) who, after befriending Dwight Manfredi (Stallone) during a ten-year stint in federal prison, is sent to Tulsa by New York\u2019s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all. Inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed with the possibilities of second chances, Washington returns to New Orleans, the home he abandoned forty-years ago, to rekindle his relationship with his family, friends, and to take control of the city he left behind. In so doing, he incurs the wrath of his former employers in New York, and makes himself vulnerable to old NOLA foes, both criminal and cop,\u201d the synopsis reads.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear how Jackson\u2019s character winds up in Frisco.<\/p>\n

Sheridan, Jackson and Stallone will all executive produce the show. Additional producers include Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Keith Cox and 101 Studios CEO David Glasser.<\/p>\n
