{"id":18979,"date":"2025-10-24T08:22:35","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T08:22:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/18979\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T08:22:35","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T08:22:35","slug":"harris-county-public-health-launches-online-dashboard-to-track-mosquito-borne-illnesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/18979\/","title":{"rendered":"Harris County Public Health launches online dashboard to track mosquito-borne illnesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Harris County Public Health officials announced the launch of an <a href=\"https:\/\/publichealth.harriscountytx.gov\/Divisions-Offices\/Offices\/Office-of-Epidemiology-Surveillance-Emerging-Diseases\/Communicable-Emerging-Disease-Program\/Mosquito-Diseases\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">online, public dashboard<\/a> aimed at informing the community about human cases of mosquito-borne diseases.<\/p>\n<p>As of Oct. 16, at least 192 positive mosquito samples across the county have been identified.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the year, HCPH\u2019s mosquito and vector control department officials track, test, and eliminate disease-carrying mosquitoes in the county, according to an Oct. 17 news release.<\/p>\n<p>The specifics<\/p>\n<p>The interactive dashboard, <a href=\"https:\/\/publichealth.harriscountytx.gov\/Divisions-Offices\/Offices\/Office-of-Epidemiology-Surveillance-Emerging-Diseases\/Communicable-Emerging-Disease-Program\/Mosquito-Diseases\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mosquito Diseases<\/a>, provides daily, real-time county maps where mosquito-borne diseases have been identified.
