Self-described as a \u201clittle deli with big flavor,\u201d Tony\u2019s Italian Delicatessen is proof that the best things in Houston often come in small packages. This local gem has built a massive reputation on its sprawling menu of handcrafted sandwiches, each one stacked high with top-tier meats and premium cheeses. Not only beloved in Houston, the deli has topped regional and national lists \u2013 notably topping Yelp\u2019s lists of the best sandwich shops<\/a> in the U.S.<\/p>\n

Presently, the deli has two locations in Houston in Montgomery and Tomball. Soon, the acclaimed sandwich shop plans to open a third location in the city.<\/p>\n

As soon as late summer, Tony\u2019s Italian Delicatessen plans to open a 2,000-square-foot deli at the ground floor of City Place 1. Located at 1700 City Plaza Drive, the restaurant feature the deli\u2019s signature sandwiches \u2013 from the nationally acclaimed \u201cSophia\u201d to the \u201cStallone\u201d.<\/p>\n

The menu is like a Hall of Fame for Italian icons, featuring cinematic heavy-hitters like the sharp and savory Pesci and the legendary Corleone. But if you\u2019re looking for a sandwich that truly packs a punch, The Stallone is a real standout. This meat-lover\u2019s masterpiece is famous for its addictive quality, keeping Houstonians coming back round after round for another hit of that authentic East Coast soul.<\/p>\n
