His 2023 Sacramento State squad swept the Big Sky regular season and tournament championships.
TCU’s average margin of victory against Big 12 teams over the last two seasons is 15.9 points. That figure has increased to 16.3 points in 2025-26.
In addition to repeating as league champions, TCU’s other primary ambition for the 2025-26 campaign was to play four NCAA Tournament games in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs seemingly took another step toward delivering on that ambition on Sunday. TCU received the No. 11 overall seed and was delegated to the Fort Worth Regional in the NCAA Selection Committee’s latest top 16 reveal. Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games at the Fort Worth Regional, hosted by the Big 12 Conference, take place at Dickies Arena,
All-but-certain to earn their 11th NCAA Tournament berth, the Horned Frogs are also pulling for TCU men’s basketball to make the Big Dance. TCU moved off the “Last Four Byes” section of ESPN’s Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology following their 73-65 road win over No. 10 Texas Tech on Tuesday. TCU men’s and women’s basketball have never competed in the NCAA Tournament in the same season.
In his three seasons in Funky Town, Campbell has led TCU to an 82-20 record and 39 appearances in The Associated Press poll, including 20 top-10 rankings. In the three seasons preceding his hire, TCU went entirely unranked and competed to a 24-60 combined overall record. Prior to Campbell’s arrival, TCU never ascended higher than 13th in the AP Top 25.
Campbell coached his 100th game at the helm of TCU hoops in an 80-73 win over Iowa State on Feb. 22. Since his hire ahead of the 2023-24 season, Campbell ranks sixth among all Power Conference head coaches in wins (82) and win-loss percentage (.804).
Strictly looking at the last two seasons, TCU has tallied the fifth-most wins of any Division I team (61) and ranks fifth among all teams in win-loss percentage (.884).
The Frogs’ fortunes permanently turned in a 79-72 victory at Cincinnati on Feb. 17, 2024. TCU entered the game having lost nine of its last 10 and one month removed from holding open tryouts. Since that game, TCU has competed to a 67-11 overall record and 39-7 mark vs. the Big 12.
Playing for Campbell, especially as his starting point guard, might as well be a cheat code for claiming conference player of the year honors at this point. TCU’s Olivia Miles was crowned Big 12 Player of the Year on Tuesday. She is the fourth one-and-done transfer point guard to be named a league’s top player in Campbell’s five seasons as a head coach. Hailey Van Lith was tabbed the Big 12’s best in 2024-25 and Sacramento State’s Lianna Tillman and Kahlaijah Dean won Big Sky Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023. All four players averaged better than 17 points and five assists per game in Campbell’s offense.
Miles was also a unanimous choice for Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. TCU has swept Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year in consecutive seasons. No program has won both awards in back-to-back years.
Speaking of postseason all-conference awards, five of TCU’s eight All-Big 12 first team honorees have come under Campbell’s tutelage in the last calendar year. Marta Suarez joined Miles on the all-conference first team mantle. Van Lith, Sedona Prince and Madison Conner all garnered first team accolades in 2024-25.
TCU needs 51 threes to become only the eighth program to make 1,000 over a three-season span.
The Horned Frogs top the Power Conference ranks in total 3-pointers over the last three seasons (949) by a sizeable margin. The next closest Power Conference team to matching TCU’s 3-point output is Utah at 922 threes. After that, it’s Iowa with 880.
Since 2023-24, only Richmond (987) has connected from distance more times than TCU. The Horned Frogs and the Spiders are the only programs ranking in the top-10 nationally in 3-point field goals (2nd, 949), 3-point field goals per game (6th, 9.4) and 3-point percentage (8th, .368) since 2023-24.
TCU is averaging 9.5 threes per night across its six-game winning streak.
The Horned Frogs have reached double figures in deep balls on 10 occasions this season and in 44 games under Campbell, the fourth most of any team nationwide since 2023-24.
Ahead of Friday’s quarterfinal tilt, TCU is one of only two teams in the country with three players who have each made 55 threes in Marta Suarez (69), Olivia Miles (61) and Donovyn Hunter (56).
Bringing Taylor Bigby into the fold, TCU is one of eight teams with four players who have all made at least 40 threes. The only other teammate threesome matching the statistical criteria is UCLA’s Gabriela Jaquez, Gianna Kneepkens and Kiki Rice.
Miles, Suarez and Hunter have all scored in double figures in 16 games. TCU is 13-3 when all three players put at least 10 points on the board.
Suarez and Miles have teamed up to score at least 40 in 12 games, leading TCU to 10 victories when doing so.
Miles or Suarez has led TCU in scoring in 26 games and in 17-of-18 vs. Big 12 opposition.
TCU continues to lead college basketball in field goal percentage defense (.336).
In Big 12 play, TCU prevented 12-18 teams from eclipsing 40 percent shooting from the field.
The Horned Frogs have held an NCAA-leading 13 teams below 30 percent shooting.
TCU has prevented 84 percent of its opponents from meeting their season scoring average in the Campbell era, including 27-31 this season.
The Frogs have limited nine opponents to their lowest scoring outputs of the season, including five in Big 12 play; BYU, Arizona State, Houston and No. 19 West Virginia (2x).
TCU, top-ranked UConn and No. 4 Texas are the only teams in the nation scoring at least 75 points per game while holding opponents to 56.5 points per game or less.
TCU has limited opponents to 50 points or less in 13 games, the second-most of any team in the nation. Only UConn has prevented its opponent from eclipsing 50 points more times than TCU (16 games).
TCU allowed just 60.3 points per game in Big 12 action, the third-fewest among all Power Conference teams in league affairs. Duke (56.1 ppg) and UCLA (59 ppg) were the only teams with better scoring defenses than the Horned Frogs in conference play.
The Horned Frogs’ length and rim protection has given opponents fits at the defensive end all year. TCU is the tallest team in the country, with an average height of 6’2 1/2″. Eight of TCU’s 14 players stand 6-2 or taller while 11 are at least 6-0.
Kennedy Basham (1.7 bpg) and Clara Silva (1.6 bpg) are the top shot-blocking unit in the Big 12. They rank third and fourth among all Big 12 players in blocks per game and are the only pair of teammates who have each recorded 50 blocks this season.
Basham’s reemergence has been an x-factor during TCU’s six-game winning streak. The senior averaged 7.3 rebounds and four blocks per game across a season-high 19 minutes per night in the Horned Frogs’ victories over Houston, Iowa State and Cincinnati from Feb. 18-25. Basham has logged at least 14 minutes in each of TCU’s last four ballgames.
Either Basham or Silva has finished with three-or-more blocks in 15 games.
TCU’s 44 games with at least six blocks are the fifth-most of any D1 team over the last three seasons. Only South Carolina (65), USC (55), Virginia (47) and Kentucky (46) have more six-block performances in that span. The Horned Frogs have sent back at least six shots in 14 games in 2025-26.
The Frogs have recorded the third-most blocks of any team nationwide since 2023-24 with 541.
In Campbell’s tenure, only eight teams have scored more than 75 points vs. TCU in regulation.

Individual Notables
Olivia Miles

Is the only player in the nation with at least 600 points, 200 rebounds and 200 assists.
Continues to be the lone Division I player averaging at least 16 points, five rebounds and five assists per night.
Is averaging a career-high 20.1 points per game along with 6.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game while connecting at a career best 49.3 percent clip from the field.
On pace to become only the second player in NCAA history to average at least 20 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a single season.
Became one of only four players in NCAA history to record 2,000 career points, 800 assists and 800 rebounds in February.

One of nine active Division I players with 2,000 career points.
Has recorded five triple-doubles, tying Baylor’s Brittney Griner and K-State’s Shalee Lehning for the most career triple-doubles by a Big 12 player and tied with Caitlin Clark for the third-most triple-doubles in a season in NCAA history.
Has finished with at least 15 points and five assists 24 times this season and in eight of her last 14 games vs. Big 12 teams;
