Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plano West<\/a>). They put the hurt on the McKinney Lions<\/a> with a sharp 16-1 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Lions: they’ve now won six in a row.<\/p>\n Emma Kesler<\/a> looked comfortable as she didn’t allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.<\/p>\n On the hitting side, Plano West got a massive performance out of Brooke Reasoner<\/a>, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave Reasoner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Jennings<\/a>, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.<\/p>\n Plano West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McKinney only posted an OBP of .286.<\/p>\n Plano West now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for McKinney, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.<\/p>\n Coming up, Plano West will venture away from home to face off against Allen at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinney, they will face off against Prosper at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 7.47 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.<\/p>\n
