The driver refused to comply, according to police. Officers pursued the vehicle as it headed north on Interstate 35W.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect lost control after taking the Pharr Street exit. The car slammed into a concrete pillar under the overpass, police said, and the driver died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>There were no other occupants in the car, and no injuries reported to officers or civilians. Police didn\u2019t say why they believed the vehicle was involved in a kidnapping. The Traffic Investigation Unit and Major Case Unit are investigating the circumstances that led up to the chase, and more information will be released as it becomes available.<\/p>\n<p>The <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mepublic.tarrantcounty.com\/?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1\">Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office<\/a> will publicly identify the person who died.<\/p>\n<p>The crash was the second incident on Monday in which a suspect died while fleeing from officers, police said.
