{"id":193612,"date":"2026-03-06T18:18:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T18:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/193612\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T18:18:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T18:18:07","slug":"richardson-commission-oks-indoor-childrens-playground-in-lockwood-neighborhood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/193612\/","title":{"rendered":"Richardson commission OKs indoor children\u2019s playground in Lockwood Neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAn indoor children\u2019s playground is on track to open in Lockwood Neighborhood after Richardson\u2019s City Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval for a special permit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cor.net\/home\/showpublisheddocument\/45516\/639076350004400000\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The details<\/p>\n<p>Kid-N-Play plans to open in a multitenant building at 506 Lockwood Drive, between <a href=\"https:\/\/lockwooddistilling.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lockwood Distilling Company<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lizziebeesflowershoppe.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lizzie Bee&#8217;s Flower Shoppe<\/a>. Owner Tiffany Long said the indoor playground is designed primarily for children ages 0-5, and will also provide comfortable spaces for parents and caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur mission is to create a safe, clean and engaging environment where young children can build confidence through play while parents have a comfortable place to connect, relax or send a few emails for work,\u201d Long said.<\/p>\n<p>According to city documents, the indoor playground will include climbing equipment, stairs, slides, a children\u2019s climbing wall and a play area for toddlers.
