ARLINGTON, Texas \u2014\u00a0UT Arlington women’s basketball (10-19, 4-13 WAC) \u00a0returns to the College Park Center for its regular-season finale on\u00a0Senior Day, hosting Abilene Christian (21-9, 12-5 WAC) on\u00a0Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n
The Lady Mavs enter the matchup looking to close the home slate with momentum against a Wildcats team that has already taken two meetings this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
UTA and ACU will meet for the 23rd time in program history, with the all-time series sitting even at\u00a011-11. The Wildcats have won the last three meetings, including both matchups this season, 59-56 in Abilene on Jan. 10\u00a0and\u00a072-63 in Arlington on Feb. 12. UTA is\u00a07-3 at home\u00a0in the series, while ACU holds a\u00a03-7 edge over the last 10 meetings.\u00a0<\/p>\n
UTA’s identity continues to start on the defensive end, where the Lady Mavs average\u00a09.2 steals\u00a0and\u00a04.9 blocks per game while holding opponents to\u00a027.1 percent from three-point range.\u00a0Kira Reynolds<\/a>\u00a0leads the team with\u00a012.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game, while\u00a0Nya Threatt<\/a>\u00a0adds\u00a09.1 points and 1.9 steals per contest\u00a0and\u00a0Jadyn Atchison<\/a> chips in\u00a08.4 points per game.\u00a0<\/p>\n Abilene Christian enters Saturday as one of the top offensive teams in the league, averaging\u00a072.4 points per game\u00a0while shooting\u00a042.5 percent\u00a0from the floor and knocking down\u00a0232 threes\u00a0on the year.
