Apparently dogs have nine lives, too! A Florida pilot and his wife died on Feb. 18 when their small plane crashed in Texas because of a dirty windshield. But there was one survivor: their pup!<\/p>\n

Ron and Barbara Timmermans had just radioed that they were coming in for an emergency landing when their plane struck a powerline and plummeted to the ground. But the couple\u2019s little lapdog \u2014 who was flying onboard with them \u2014 miraculously made it out of the wreck unscathed!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe dog was alive, and so one of the neighbors took the dog to take care of,\u201d neighbor Mary Ann Shoulders told KLTV<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just loud, just mangling,\u201d she said of the crash. \u201cYou could hear the metal mangling and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their pooch will be adopted by the couple\u2019s surviving family, according to officials.<\/p>\n
