Perez is facing one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n<p>Jail records show Perez remains in custody with no bond allowed on either charge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/10D802A4-2DDB-4176-BA24-904502B50465_4_5005_c-1.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-305635\" class=\"size-full wp-image-305635\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/10D802A4-2DDB-4176-BA24-904502B50465_4_5005_c-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"344\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-305635\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Juan Carlos Perez<\/p>\n<p>According to the Tarrant County inmate <a href=\"https:\/\/inmatesearch.tarrantcounty.com\/Home\/Details?CID=1043564\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">database<\/a>, Perez was booked under case numbers 1849571 for murder and 1849573 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Both entries indicate a \u201chold no-bond\u201d status, meaning the defendant cannot secure release through bail while the case proceeds.<\/p>\n<p>Court <a href=\"https:\/\/dcsa.tarrantcounty.com\/Criminal\/CriminalDocket\/CriminalDocketDetails\/1849573?page=0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">records<\/a> show the cases have been assigned to the 485th District Court in Tarrant County.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution in the murder case is listed as Madeline Jones of the Tarrant County District Attorney\u2019s Office, while Melinda Hogan is listed as the prosecutor assigned to the aggravated assault case in court records.<\/p>\n<p>Court filings also show attorney James A. Spangler is listed as defense counsel in the murder case, while Huma T. Yasin is listed as defense counsel for the aggravated assault charge.<\/p>\n<p>The Dallas Express reached out to Spangler and Yasin for comment, but did not receive a response by publication time.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities have not publicly released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged offenses, including when or where the incident occurred.
