Flour Bluff won against Miller on Tuesday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Hornets put the hurt on the Ray Texans with a sharp 18-3 victory. Considering the Hornets have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday’s blowout was nothing new.

Abigail Bippert made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn’t allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. Bippert was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That’s the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Flour Bluff got a massive performance out of Addison Mayo, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That’s the most doubles Mayo has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kynslee Owens, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.

Flour Bluff was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ray only posted a batting average of .188.

The win made it two in a row for Flour Bluff and bumps their season record up to 14-7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Ray, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Flour Bluff will welcome Alice at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The Coyotes have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 9.13 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ray, they will face off against Gregory-Portland at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
