Grapevine High School will see substantial renovations over the summer breaks of 2026 and 2027 as part of the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD\u2019s 2024 bond program approved by voters.<\/p>\n

District trustees approved a maximum $14.4 million contract to Lee Lewis Construction Inc. at their Feb. 23 regular meeting<\/a>. Major items include roofing and kitchen work. Lee Lewis is the construction manager on the project.<\/p>\n

Paula Barbaroux, the district\u2019s chief operations officer, told trustees the project is coming in substantially under budget. However, she said, indications are that other projected budgets for work to be done under the 2024 bond will be over budget.<\/p>\n

\u201cKind of building up the chips there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Lee Lewis received 53 bids for work to be done in 26 trades on the Grapevine High School project, and determined they were qualified, Barbaroux said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was pretty robust coverage and competition there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The work will be done during the summers to ensure no disruption to the school, she said. Estimated completion is Aug. 1, 2027, she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not going to be doing renovations at Grapevine High School while school is in session,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
