Frequent lightening is also possible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Original Story:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Plan for a weekend indoors, because the National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting gloomy conditions in San Antonio and its surrounding areas. Heavy rain and thunder just scratch the surface of what to look out for on Saturday, March 7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Meteorologists at the NWS say a <a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/product.php?site=NWS&amp;product=AFD&amp;issuedby=EWX\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:cold front;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">cold front<\/a> will push into the Edwards Plateau and Hill Country late in the morning, then into the remainder of our region in the evening, increasing the possibility of showers and thunderstorms. The most likely time is\u00a0before 9 a.m. and through 12\u00a0p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">San Antonio, Austin, New\u00a0Braunfels, and other towns nearby face a level two out of five risk that these storms turn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/ewx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:&quot;severe,&quot;;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">&#8220;severe,&#8221;<\/a> according to the agency. What does that look like for you?\u00a0San Antonio is currently sitting at 83 percent,\u00a0while Austin is at 85 percent. Further west, it increases. Kerrville is at 88 percent, and Fredericksburg is at 86 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Aside from this, the main hazards folks should prepare for are minor floods, damaging wind gusts, and large hail. Meanwhile, gusts could hit up to 20 mph during both the daylight hours and after sunset.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Though grey clouds will be overhead, it will still be <a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/MapClick.php?textField1=29.708877&amp;textField2=-98.045857\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:warm;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">warm<\/a> in South-Central Texas. The region is looking at a high of 82 degrees and a low of 58 degrees at night.
