Carroll won against King on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans with a sharp 15-5 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Isabella Montalvo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn’t given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. That’s the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2025.

In other batting news, Carroll got a massive performance out of Julia Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Talina Valdez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Carroll always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. The team’s really been improving in that area: they’ve now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Carroll is on a roll lately: they’ve won four of their last five games. That’s provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they now have a losing record of 3-4-2.

Coincidentally, Carroll and Corpus Christi Moody will both be playing Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
