A late goal from Heather Stainbrook lifted Dallas Trinity FC<\/a> to a 1-0 road win over Lexington FC on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Stainbrook scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time on a off an assist from Cyera Hintzen. It was her second goal of the season. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just knew that it was an opportunity to crash the box,\u201d Stainbrook said. \u201cIt was such a good ball by Cyera.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper Tyler McCamey recorded her first shutout of the season in four matches. Dallas is tied for second in the Gainbridge Super League with six shutouts this season.<\/p>\n

With the win, Trinity FC (8-6-3, 27 points) maintained its hold on third place in the Gainbridge Super League standings. Dallas pulled within three points of second place Lexington SC (7-2-9, 30 points). The top four teams in the standings make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny time that you get a late game-winning goal is a great feeling, especially when you do it away from home,” Head Coach Nathan Thackeray<\/a> said. “The three points are huge for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Next up, Dallas Trinity FC will face DC Power FC at 6 p.m. Thursday at Audi Field.<\/p>\n
