It seems like visitors\u00a0may have hit a peak this weekend, as\u00a0a TikTok posted on Saturday, October 11, shows attendees and scare actors<\/a> alike in a standstill, nearly shoulder-to-shoulder with each other. Another video<\/a> posted a day later shows the 200-acre park packed again on Sunday, October 12.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Halloween attraction opened in early September, but as the holiday approaches, it’s only expected that folks are looking for weekend plans that officially ring in spooky season. In addition to the free scare areas,\u00a0some of this year’s biggest draws to Fright\u00a0Fest in San Antonio are the haunted mazes\u00a0inspired by film<\/a> franchises like The Conjuring\u00a0and Saw.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But for some, the crowds are enough to deter a visit altogether. “SAN ANTONIO IS FULL!!!!” one commenter wrote under the October 11 post.\u00a0In response to the video taken on Sunday, one TikTok user said the park is “frightening if your fears are crowds, people or claustrophobia.”\u00a0Another wrote that visiting the park on any weekend in October “is always going to be an absolutely not.” Others noted that instead, they’d be visiting during the week to avoid the crowds.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the park told MySA in an email that the video posted on October 11 shows “The Arrival,” where the scare actors make their entrance.<\/p>\n

“It naturally draws a large audience briefly before guests spread throughout the park to enjoy the many other attractions. Safety is always a top priority, and during The Arrival, our team creates a designated bypass and actively manages guest flow to ensure everyone can enjoy the experience comfortably,” the statement read. “With the recent cooler weather and our largest Fright Fest in park history, there\u2019s never been a better time to visit and be part of this exciting season at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.”<\/p>\n

For those brave enough to face the frights (and the lines), Fright Fest is haunting Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio on select dates until Sunday, November 2<\/a>. Admission to scare zones is included with tickets to the park, but the haunted mazes require a separate pass.<\/p>\n
