(KALB) &#8211; Two Texas women were arrested for trying to smuggle drugs, phones and tobacco into the Federal Prison, according to the Grant Parish Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">GPSO said the women used a drone to fly in plastic crow decoys filled with the contraband. The women said they were being paid $40,000 to smuggle in the items. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Drone crow decoy\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/GT45DE75N5AGZIGA3POWHW5EKI.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"1306\" \/>Drone crow decoy(GPSO)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Melanie Jean Worthington, 38, of Joshua, Texas, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and taking contraband into a penal institution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kassy Marie Cole, 41, of Hurst, Texas, was arrested for possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, taking contraband into a penal institution and an outstanding warrant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This makes the 9th and 10th arrests of suspects trying to smuggle contraband into the Federal Prison in Grant Parish in 2026.
