TCU center Xavier Edmonds has gone from junior college transfer<\/a> to All-Big 12.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-8 junior earned third-team honors on the All-Big 12 men\u2019s basketball teams released Monday. Sophomore forward David Punch received honorable mention.<\/p>\n

Edmonds is in his first season with the Horned Frogs after two years at Salt Lake Community College in Utah. He averages 12.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks while shooting a team-best 57.6% from the field for TCU (21-10, 11-7), which surged to finish sixth<\/a> in the conference and is headed to the NCAA Tournament.<\/p>\n

Edmonds stepped up at center after Malick Diallo suffered a season-ending injury<\/a> in the opener.<\/p>\n

Punch averages a team-best 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds (tied with Edmonds) and 1.9 blocks, along with 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals.<\/p>\n

Arizona senior guard Jaden Bradley was named Player of the Year, and Arizona\u2019s Tommy Lloyd earned Coach of the Year.<\/p>\n
