On April 17 and 18, the night sky above Circuit of the Americas in Austin becomes the stage for DroneArt Show: Space Chase – an immersive, open-air performance where technology turns into storytelling.

There is no orchestra pit and no curtain call. Instead, more than 1,200 LED-lit drones lift off in perfect synchrony, forming swirling galaxies, comet trails, and expressive figures that evolve scene by scene. Set to a pulse of classic 60s music, the choreography feels like a cinematic sequence written in light: precise, emotional, and unexpectedly intimate.

At the heart of Space Chase is a simple narrative anyone can follow. A child meets an alien, hesitates, reaches out, and discovers friendship. With no spoken dialogue, the story stays universal – curiosity, courage, and connection unfolding above the crowd. One moment the drones sketch a portal in the sky; the next, they become characters in motion, guiding the audience through wonder and discovery.

What makes this experience stand out is how it invites people to look up together. In a world where entertainment is often confined to screens, Space Chase brings the focus back to a shared horizon. Unlike fireworks, there are no loud booms or smoke – just the soft hum of flight and the clarity of hundreds of lights moving as one. It is spectacular in scale, but calm enough to feel personal.

Whether you are planning a family night out, a date, or a group gathering, the show is designed for all ages and for anyone who wants to feel that collective gasp of awe. Arrive early to get settled, enjoy on-site food and beverage options, and find your perfect view under the Texas night. Tickets are selling fast at Fever – and for two nights only, Austin gets a front-row seat to a story told in the stars.
