Two dogs were rescued from a westside Fort Worth house fire<\/a> early Wednesday, officials said.<\/p>\n The Fort Worth Fire Department received multiple calls about 2 a.m. regarding a fire at a home in the 5000 block of Dilworth Street, the fire department said in a social media post.<\/p>\n When the firefighters arrived, they found flames coming from a carport that were quickly spreading to the attached one-story home, and the crew began fighting the blaze, the fire department said.<\/p>\n Firefighters found two dogs inside the home, with one requiring immediate medical attention and oxygen on scene for smoke inhalation, officials said.<\/p>\n \u201cThankfully, firefighters were able to save the dog and reunite both with their owners,\u201d the department said.<\/p>\n The fire was under control within 15 minutes, but the home was severely damaged, officials said.<\/p>\n The American Red Cross provided emergency assistance, and no injuries were reported, according to the post.<\/p>\n The cause of the fire is under investigation, the department said.<\/p>\n Related Stories from Fort Worth Star-Telegram<\/p>\n Fort Worth firefighters rescued two dogs from a Fort Worth house fire early Wednesday, March 11, officials said.
