March 14 is National Pi Day, and while some may think of desserts when they hear “pi,” others might think of pizza pies.<\/p>\n

Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant \u03c0, or pi. Pi Day is observed on March 14 because 3, 1 and 4 are the first three digits of pi.<\/p>\n

There are several pizzerias in Corpus Christi, but here are six of the Caller-Times’ favorites that you should check out to celebrate the holiday.<\/p>\n

Authentic New York Pizza<\/p>\n

Maggie’s is tucked away on Everhart Road and sells plenty of signature pizzas. Swing by during happy hour (2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday) for half-price appetizers like Maggie’s Fries, which are seasoned fries covered in pepperoni and provolone cheese.<\/p>\n

Hours: Noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday<\/p>\n

Mesquite Street Pizza and Pasta Co.<\/p>\n

Owner Pam Chavez purchased rights to the restaurant when it was a Sam & Louie’s Pizzeria franchise and changed it to Saucy Mama’s in late 2025. The pizza may be a bit pricier than most pizzerias, but the taste is worth the buck.<\/p>\n
