{"id":201299,"date":"2026-03-12T12:08:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T12:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/201299\/"},"modified":"2026-03-12T12:08:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T12:08:11","slug":"oklahoma-state-faces-tcu-in-big-12-tournament-as-cowboys-try-to-keep-ncaa-hopes-alive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/201299\/","title":{"rendered":"Oklahoma State faces TCU in Big 12 Tournament as Cowboys try to keep NCAA hopes alive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            KANSAS CITY, Mo.  &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma State will try to keep its postseason hopes alive Wednesday night when the Cowboys face TCU in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament.<\/p>\n<p>OSU advanced with a 92-83 win over Colorado in the first round Tuesday night, but the challenge becomes tougher against a TCU team that has already beaten the Cowboys twice this season.<\/p>\n<p>\n    Cowboys finding momentum at the right time<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma State enters the matchup playing some of its best basketball of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Cowboys are playing their best basketball of the season at the right time,\u201d News On 6\u2019s John Holcomb said. \u201cGreat effort the last three games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Against Colorado, OSU\u2019s defense played a key role by limiting the Buffaloes\u2019 dangerous backcourt.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Roy led the Cowboys with 24 points, while Christian Coleman added 17 points and 14 rebounds. Jaylen Curry chipped in 15 points as Oklahoma State improved to 19-13 on the season.<\/p>\n<p>Cowboys coach Steve Lutz praised the team\u2019s composure after the win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to be advancing in the tournament,\u201d Lutz said. \u201cIt\u2019s another step forward for the program.
