{"id":202169,"date":"2026-03-13T00:17:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T00:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/202169\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T00:17:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T00:17:12","slug":"plano-symphony-orchestras-upcoming-season-features-music-director-finalists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/202169\/","title":{"rendered":"Plano Symphony Orchestra&#8217;s upcoming season features music director finalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Season features concerts with music director finalists, international guest artists and a concert with Broadway star Joshua Henry.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/planosymphony.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Plano Symphony Orchestra\u2019s<\/a> 2026-2027 season, the 44th for the organization, is kicking off with a special season,\u00a0one in which candidates for Music Director H\u00e9ctor Guzm\u00e1n\u2019s position as he goes into his last season before shifting into emeritus status.<\/p>\n<p>The five <a href=\"https:\/\/planomagazine.com\/finalists-pso-music-director\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">finalists<\/a> \u2014 M\u00e9lisse Brunet, Filippo Ciabatti, Gonzalo Farias, Jacob Joyce and Stilian Kirov \u2014 will each lead one concert, with an audience survey following each performance to assist with the selection process.<\/p>\n<p>The season will also include an event on June 24 called Breaking Classical, where FLY Dance Company will join the orchestra, blending hip hop and classical music.
