He had been found at around 10 p.m. Thursday near 7600 North Loop East in northeast Houston.<\/p>\n<p>The Houston police and fire departments responded to the underpass of the highway. An HPD spokesperson told Houston Public Media the man was found hanging from a rope and that he had burns on his body. It was not immediately clear whether the man was on fire when he was found.<\/p>\n<p>An HPD lieutenant at the scene Thursday night told reporters the death is being investigated as a homicide, according to multiple news reports. <\/p>\n<p>The Harris County medical examiner&#8217;s office will conduct an autopsy to determine how the man died, particularly whether it was from the hanging or from the burns he appears to have sustained.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lucio Vasquez\/Houston Public Media Houston Police Department patrol vehicle.
