Austin, Texas \u2014 One of the best parts of South by Southwest is discovering new music, and this year a special showcase series is making it easier than ever for everyone to be part of the experience. Austin Sounds <\/a>is the official SXSW showcase series that is completely free and open to the public, giving music lovers a chance to enjoy live performances without needing a festival badge.<\/p>\n

Now through March 18, Austin Sounds is highlighting dozens of local artists and celebrating the incredible diversity that defines Austin\u2019s music scene. The series features 36 different bands representing a wide range of genres, offering audiences a chance to experience everything from rock and indie to Latin, soul, and experimental sounds.<\/p>\n

With free entry, a diverse lineup, and performances happening throughout SXSW, Austin Sounds offers music fans an easy way to experience the energy of the festival and support local artists.<\/p>\n

The goal of Austin Sounds is to make SXSW music accessible to the entire community. While many SXSW events require badges or wristbands, this showcase series invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy live performances and discover emerging artists in a welcoming, open setting.<\/p>\n

Among the artists featured in the lineup is Eddie-Angel, who is performing as a first-time official SXSW artist. His latest Spanish-language single, Payaso, has already gained attention and airplay on KUTX, further building excitement around his performance.<\/p>\n
