DALLAS \u2014 Southern Dallas is about to get a hearty helping of Southern comfort.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Grandma\u2019s Country Kitchen will officially open its doors with a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Monday, March 23, inviting the community to gather around the table for home-style cooking and that southern hospitality.<\/p>\n
The restaurant is owned by Carl Cheatham and Harold Cox. It’s located at the corner of Camp Wisdom Road and Highway 67, the new restaurant breathes new life into a longtime neighborhood landmark.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It\u2019s designed to feel like Sunday dinner at Grandma\u2019s house, where the plates are full, time slows down, and everyone feels like family.<\/p>\n
The menu leans into tradition with Southern fried chicken, crispy fried catfish, and classic sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and corn. For dessert, guests can dig into beloved favorites such as homemade peach cobbler and banana pudding.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Inside, a \u201cGrandma\u2019s Wall of Fame\u201d will highlight the women who\u2019ve inspired family traditions, and guests are encouraged to honor their own grandmothers\u2019 legacies, too.<\/p>\n
But Grandma\u2019s aims to be more than just a restaurant. The team plans to support the community through fundraising opportunities for schools, churches, and organizations, as well as offering catering services for special events.<\/p>\n
Just behind the restaurant sits its sister venue, The Reserve at Redbird, an event space that can host up to 330 guests. The venue is designed for everything from reunions and repasts to banquets and showers, complete with event planning services, d\u00e9cor options, and catering straight from Grandma\u2019s Kitchen.<\/p>\n
