The San Antonio Fire\u00a0Department (SAFD) received a report of the incident at 6:54 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A staff member at the Northwest Side Las Palapas location told MySA during an 8:34 a.m. call that, for the first hour or two, the business would only be serving customers through the drive-thru or to-go pickup. They added that they had &#8220;just finished cleaning up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">SAFD spokesperson\u00a0Joseph Arrington tells MySA that it occurred after an older adult &#8220;reportedly inadvertently struck the building.&#8221; Photos show debris near the property&#8217;s parking lot area and a hole near the windows neighboring the entry doors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;There were no injuries associated with the event, and SAFD resources were canceled,&#8221; Arrington said.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"A vehicle crashed into the Las Palapas restaurant at 8005 Callaghan Road in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday, March 13, 2026. During MySA&#8217;s visit to the location at around 9 a.m., the shop was offering its usual services, including dine-in access.
