Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plano West<\/a>). Everything went their way against the Princeton Panthers<\/a> on Friday as they made off with a 17-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolves needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.<\/p>\n Kendall Prowell<\/a> made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn’t tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.<\/p>\n In other batting news, Plano West got a massive performance out of Brooke Reasoner<\/a>, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Abby Jennings<\/a> was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.<\/p>\n Plano West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That’s the best OBP they’ve posted all season.<\/p>\n Plano West now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Princeton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.<\/p>\n Coincidentally, Plano West and Princeton will both be playing Prosper the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolves will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.<\/p>\n
