Fredericksburg’s Cabernet Grill<\/a>, a romantic, rustic-style eatery that serves gourmet steak, seafood and pristine Texas wines just earned top honors with a 2025\u00a0TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award<\/a> as one of the Best Date Night Restaurants in the United States – making it one of the most and best reviewed eateries in world.<\/p>\n

The annual honor celebrates some of the highest-rated dining destinations across the globe, according to TripAdvisor.<\/p>\n

“Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone,” the travel blog said.<\/p>\n

Based on real traveler reviews collected over a year-long period, the title is a major accomplishment, achieved by dining establishments that receive a high number of “above-and-beyond” reviews.<\/p>\n

Cabernet Grill<\/a>\u00a0was the only Texas restaurant to make the list, coming in at No. 18 nationwide. Guests praise the restaurants cozy, Hill Country ambiance, complete with a waterfall and koi pond, and their indulgent menu of filet mignon, chicken fried\u00a0ribeye and\u00a0pecan-crusted chicken. TripAdvisor describes the experience as “unforgettable,” thanks in part to a “thoughtful” dessert menu and top-tier service.<\/p>\n

With more than\u00a02,500 positive online reviews<\/a>, the\u00a0restaurant is considered a “must-visit” in Fredericksburg, earning a 4.6 star rating out of 5. TripAdvisor mentions the filet mignon, chicken fried\u00a0ribeye, pecan-crusted chicken and a “thoughtful” dessert menu for an “unforgettable” experience.<\/p>\n

The fine dining restaurant owns the nation’s largest all-Texas wine list with a 1,500-bottle inventory, including 200 different wines from more than 50 different wineries.<\/p>\n

Executive Chef Ross Burtwell and his team invite diners to “save room for a little heaven on earth,” and for those who can’t get enough of the Hill Country romance, the adjacent Cotton Gin Village, a charming, 14-cottage bed and breakfast located on the restaurant estate offers plenty of room for an overnight stay surrounded by Texas hospitality.<\/p>\n
