Still, the retired high school principal who said he\u2019s been coming to Texas games since \u201cbefore\u00a0Cat Osterman<\/a> was pitching,” added one tally to Texas\u2019 2026 popcorn sales total. In 2025, the Longhorns sold more than 60,000 generic popcorn boxes at athletic events, according to documents obtained by the American-Statesman<\/a>. Thousands more bought souvenir and speciality popcorn offerings, too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In total, Texas Athletics sold 2,418,184 food and beverage items in 2025, according to the university\u2019s public records office. In the 2025 fiscal year, which began in September 2024 and ended last August, the Longhorns reported about $8.9 million in revenue from game programs, novelties, parking and concessions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Understandably, Longhorns fans like to keep hydrated. On the football field, Texas played two games at Royal-Memorial Stadium with\u00a0kickoff temperatures<\/a> exceeding 93 degrees in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Football games, predictably, drove the majority of the Longhorns\u2019 concession sales in the 2025 fiscal year. Baseball, which played 35 home games in 2025, drew 250,754 fans in total. Pick out the attendance from any three home games on the football schedule, and the gridiron attendance far exceeds that number with just half of its home slate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Beer options took up two places in the top five, with Michelob Ultra coming in at No. 2 and Modelo at No. 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Texas fans kept it classic with their snack preferences, opting for hot dogs more than any other food. Fountain sodas rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n

Odds and ends\u00a0<\/p>\n

The outcomes here indicate that Longhorns fans aren\u2019t driven too hard by their collective sweet tooth. The top candy offering is all the way down at No. 39 on the list. Peanut M&M\u2019s are the candy of choice for Texas fans, almost doubling the sales totals of the plain option.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the bottom end of the list, there are 39 items that only sold one solitary unit in 2025.
