HOUSTON \u2013 The music of Jimmy Buffett will return to the Houston area this summer as his longtime band heads back on the road.<\/p>\n

The Coral Reefer Band, which backed Buffett for decades and helped define his signature Gulf Coast sound, announced a summer 2026 tour that includes a July 24 stop at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Friday, according to a post on social media. <\/p>\n

Buffett, whose career spanned more than five decades, built a devoted following through songs that celebrated coastal living, escapism and a carefree lifestyle. <\/p>\n

His 1977 hit \u2018Margaritaville\u2019 became his most recognizable song and later inspired a business empire that included restaurants, resorts and merchandise.<\/p>\n

Buffett died Sept. 1, 2023, at age 76 after a four year battle with Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive skin cancer.<\/p>\n

Since his death, members of the Coral Reefer Band have continued performing to keep Buffett\u2019s music alive for fans known as \u2018Parrotheads.\u2019 <\/p>\n

Concerts typically feature many of Buffett\u2019s best known songs, along with the beach themed atmosphere that defined his shows for decades.<\/p>\n

The upcoming tour begins July 9 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and includes stops across the country in cities such as Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

Texas will host three tour dates, including Austin on July 23, the Houston area on July 24 and Fort Worth on July 25.<\/p>\n
