DALLAS \u2014 The Nordstrom store at Galleria Dallas will be closing next month, the department store chain confirmed to WFAA on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Nordstrom said it believes it will be able to best serve customers around DFW by leveraging its surrounding stores and through its digital channels.<\/p>\n
“Decisions like this are never easy, and we understand the impact they have on our team members,” the statement reads. “We\u2019re committed to taking care of our employees through this transition, including supporting those who are interested in finding another role within Nordstrom.”<\/p>\n
Nordstrom’s performance in 2025 was the strongest it’s been in a decade, the company said, with total sales growing to an all time high of $15.9 billion, 7% higher than in 2024. According to the company, comparable store growth across Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack is the highest it’s been in more than a decade.<\/p>\n
With this Galleria location closing, there will only be two remaining Nordstrom stores in the metroplex, along with 10 Nordstrom Rack stores.<\/p>\n
The Galleria Dallas location’s last day open will be May 16.<\/p>\n
WFAA has reached out to Galleria Dallas for comment on the closure.<\/p>\n
Nordstrom isn’t the only department store chain to see recent closures, as the Dallas-based Neiman Marcus is also prepared to close more than a dozen stores as it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.<\/a><\/p>\n This closure comes months after Galleria Dallas saw the opening of Netflix House last December<\/a>, one of only two attractions to open in the U.S. last year.<\/p>\n
