The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced on Thursday that it is awarding $625 million to 11 cities across nine states that will host FIFA World Cup 2026 matches to bolster their security capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to FEMA, the city of Dallas will receive $51,584,327\u202f\u202fas part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 preparedness grant program.<\/p>\n
Of the cities that will receive money as part of the grant program, Miami received the largest allocation of funds at $73,698,993\u202f.<\/p>\n

Dallas police said in a statement on Thursday that the department is working alongside local, state, and federal partners to prepare for the influx of visitors from around the world. <\/p>\n
The funds will strengthen the department’s security operations and enhance the ability of Dallas police to protect both residents and guests, DPD officials said.<\/p>\n
