LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Nightmare on 19th Street combines scares with creative artwork to create a unique Halloween experience in the Hub City.<\/p>\n
Co-owner Wes Nessman says there\u2019s something for everybody.<\/p>\n
The attraction features carefully crafted haunted houses designed with help from local artists.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had some incredible local artist to do this, a fella by the name of Lucky Rodriguez and his partner Jonathan and then we had another girl named Elise Arnold who did a specialty instillation,\u201d Nessman said. \u201cSo once again it\u2019s art, but that art distracts you while my creeps, creep up on you,\u201d Nessman said.<\/p>\n
Year-round planning to create new scares<\/p>\n
Nessman said his team works on the attraction throughout the year, constantly developing new ideas and scares.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd we have just as much fun as when people aren\u2019t here, and when we are building things and dreaming up new ideas and planning new scares and corpsing skeletons, and doing all the fun stuff we do from building bridges to cutting trails and setting post, we love it all. We work on this thing all year long,\u201d Nessman said.<\/p>\n
Nessman said his favorite part of running the attraction is serving the community and providing entertainment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe most important thing for everybody to remember is after somebody gets scared, they laugh, you will hear it every single time,\u201d Nessman said. \u201cWe\u2019re providing something fun and different for this town and it\u2019s just so very important,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The attraction is located off Southeast Drive and 19th Street. Nov. 1 is the final day of operation for this season.<\/p>\n
